Citi Partner Marketing

This is a small collection of the many types of marketing banners created for Citi Retail Services’ 25+ partner brands. Marketing banner templates and brand style guides were established after assessing the messaging needs of the partners across the account servicing and card acquisition online experience.

Partner Marketing

Partner marketing has often been a mix of HTML or Image Only, with the latter providing the partner with more room to control the layout of the finished product, plus incorporate different styles of fonts and more imagery than the HTML templates. After ADA standards became more stringent, our accessibility audit indicated changes were needed to bring marketing banners into compliance.

The mockups on the right are one example of the shift from an image-based banner to the new template which is HTML only. The new template still allows for a card image and background, but the character count can be limited if other elements (like card art) are included in the finished design.


Offer Testing

Occasionally the Marketing team would receive a request to create offers for testing. The Home Depot requested a dual offer for users that were approved via the online card application process. This banner would offer either 10% off a purchase or a financing offer. The two options tested would include a static offer banner or an interactive banner. The interactive banner would include a slider function that enabled the user to preview the terms and a code that could be copied to apply when making a purchase online.
